About the artist:
I am a self taught sculptural artist making minimalist assemblages of found objects. Creating an image or story with only a few objects – and then puzzling out how to present it simply and elegantly, without distraction, is deeply satisfying. Reclaiming and reusing material is fundamental to my efforts: in fact nearly 100% of the components of my pieces have had prior lives. A skull found in the woods, a broken motor core, a golf ball from the age of square dimples: nothing’s off the table if it has character and helps to create a narrative. |
